the lives of our students by using the BEST creative problem

solving program in the world…

Odyssey of the Mind!

There have been a tremendous number of changes made to the

Odyssey of the Mind website. The purpose of this update is to

help guide you through the processes needed to get you

registered and ready for our Qualifying and State Tournaments.

JUDGES INFORMATION

All teams must provide a minimum of one judge. Judges are to

register on the Google Form located on the Creativity in

Arkansas Website by no later than:

February 22, 2025: Arkansas 1 Brookland Public Schools

Deadline to register: February 8th.

March 1, 2025: Prairie Grove High School

Deadline to register: February 15th.

March 13, 2025 (Thursday): Mt. St. Mary’s Academy Little Rock

Deadline to register: February 20th.

This year judges will receive a tee shirt once they attend judges

training.

Spontaneous Judges training will be handled by the State

Problem captain: Donna Henderson. She will be in contact.

Dates for Judges Training: Training will take place at 7:30 a.m.

on the day of the tournaments at Brookland and Prairie Grove.

We elected to do this in order to respect our volunteer’s time.

Competition will begin at 10:00. Please make sure you have read

the problem!

I would highly recommend that all judges follow the three read

protocol:

1st read: Learn what the problem is about.

2nd read: Read for detail and deep understanding (highlight,

take notes, formulate questions).

3rd read: Read for clarification and develop questions to ask

when you meet with the problem captains.
